Key Responsibilities:
- Talent Acquisition and Recruitment
- Lead the recruitment process, from job posting to onboarding, to attract skilled talent for various construction roles.
- Partner with hiring managers to identify workforce needs and create job descriptions that align with project requirements.
- Conduct interviews, assess candidate suitability, and manage offer negotiations.
- Employee Onboarding and Orientation
- Design and facilitate onboarding programs for new employees, ensuring a smooth integration into the company.
- Oversee the orientation of employees on organizational policies.
- Employee Relations and Engagement
- Act as a liaison between employees and management to address workplace issues and resolve conflicts.
- Foster a positive work environment through engagement initiatives, team-building activities, and feedback mechanisms.
- Collaborate closely with the HR Manager to handle complex employee relations cases and ensure consistent application of HR policies.
- Performance Management
- Support and assist the performance appraisal process, including goal setting, quarterly, mid-year reviews, and annual performance evaluations.
- HR Data Management and Reporting
- Maintain accurate employee records, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Generate HR metrics and reports for management on turnover rates, recruitment effectiveness, training hours, etc.
- Compensation and Benefits
- Oversee the payroll process, manage employee benefits, and support salary benchmarking to ensure competitive compensation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in construction, engineering, or related industries.
- Knowledge of labor laws and relevant ISOs to the construction sector.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse teams.
- Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
