The Occupational Safety & Health Executive’s main responsibilities are to support the Bank’s Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) unit in ensuring the implementation of effective policies, conducting risk assessments, fostering a safe working environment which aligns with the bank's objectives for a proper safety and health practices. The successful candidate will report to the Manager, Corporate Real Estate (CRE) Operational Management.

Job Responsibilities
1. Compliance and Monitoring
  • Develop and maintain Occupational Safety and Health’s (OSH) policies, procedures, and guidelines in line with local laws and international standards.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and workplace audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
  • Manage OSH-related documentation and reporting to regulatory authorities.
2. Training and Awareness
  • Plan and deliver OSH training programs to employees to promote a culture of safety and awareness.
  • Produce and update posters and other communication material for stakeholders.

3. Incident Management
  • Conduct thorough investigations including accidents/incidents/near-misses and identify root causes with proposed corrective actions.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on OSH performance and incident trends.
4. Industrial Relations Support
  • Collaborate with the Human Resource (HR) and Employee Relations (ER) teams to address OSH-related aspects in workplace policies and procedures.
  • Assist in resolving disputes and maintaining harmonious employee relations in alignment with OSH requirements.
5. Audit & Reporting
  • Track implementation and completion of OSH Objectives, Worksite Inspections, Risk Assessments, Incident Reports and Regulatory Compliance requirements to generate reports for the OSH Committee.
  • Conduct audits, site inspections and prepare compliance reports as required.

Job Requirements
  • Malaysian citizen.
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree, Professional Degree, Master Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
  • 2 years and above working experience in related areas. Candidates with a Safety and Health Coordinator Certificate (OSH-C) and Professional Certificate (i.e NEBOSH,OSHA) are highly desirable.
  • Proficient in English (written and spoken) and Microsoft Office applications (Excel & PowerPoint).
  • Good understanding of regulatory requirements related to OHS/Law of Malaysia/Environment’s Regulations/ISO45001 and strong analytical skills with problem solving skills.
