Job Summary

The IT Support Engineer reports to the Director and is responsible for (new) IT solutions or

improvements to existing systems to improve business efficiency and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

4.1. Provide helpdesk support to end users on IT related issues.

4.2. Manage backups and system/server restorations.

4.3. First level support and firewall maintenance

4.4. Undertake small to medium-sized IT projects as instructed by superior.

4.5. Overall computer hardware, software and printer maintenance, and ensure security and

upgrades are administered and kept up to date

4.6. Overall Windows administration including new user accounts and mailbox setups if

required.

4.7. Inventory management including maintaining and updating list of IT assets including

hardware and software, operating systems, networking, IT related equipment and etc.

4.8. Ensure all purchased software licenses are recorded and maintained.

4.9. Patching of network and phones.

4.10. Liaise with IT related vendors/suppliers on matters relating to computer software,

hardware and other peripherals.

4.11. Provide training and standard user guides to end users.

4.12. Involvement with ad-hoc IT projects.

Job Requirements

5.1 Educational Qualification and Experience

  • Recognized Diploma/Degree in IT/Computer Science or equivalent
  • Knowledge of basic computer troubleshooting, networking and website maintenance
  • 3 to 4 years’ relevant experience
