Job Title: Senior Technician

Reports To: Maintenance Assistant Manager /Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • A Senior Technician assist and support management and other senior staff in carrying out the company's operations. Central to the role is the responsibility to supervise and instruct staff at their premises and on site to ensure work is carried out efficiently and in a professional manner.
  • RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible to assistant manager or Maintenance manager for the general maintenance of all buildings, mechanical and electrical plant rooms in the resort/nursing home.
  • Perform preventive maintenance for all the resident room or patient room.
  • Logging of the utility meters e.g. Water and electricity meters readings.
  • Attend to all M&E matters e.g. power failure, faulty light fittings, breakdown of air-condition system, plumbing defects, etc.
  • Perform duties of a Duty Technician and attend to service calls/job order from residents and other departments.
  • Serve as an active member of resort/nursing home emergency response team.
  • On the job training lead by Manager or assistant manager in order for him to be familiarised with the building facilities/engineering systems.
  • Attend to all maintenance requests from other departments.
  • Communicate with your managers on all work-related issues and events.
  • Prioritise tasks and duties and delegate these to your team accordingly.
  • Ensure staff under your supervision and instruction carry out duties and complete tasks efficiently to a high standard in accordance with client expectations
  • Be available for weekend and overtime work when required.
  • Ensure your team is always working efficiently and effectively for the full working day.
  • Ensure tools, equipment, materials, containers and plants are properly taken care of when in use/transit and put away in the correct place when not in use.
  • Check quality prior to completion of your teams work on site and rectify issues before leaving site.
  • Report back to management immediately any problems or difficulties that you cannot resolve independently, any work that cannot be completed, or any concerns you may have about standards of work, behaviour or other related issues.
  • Receive and check deliveries on site and ensure these are processed correctly.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 to 4 years of relevant working experiences in facilities & building maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical or electrical services.
  • Able to train, coach and develop team members.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM2,700.00 - RM3,200.00 per month
