
Mechanical Engineer
Responsibilities:
· Execute project planning, site investigations, preliminary design, and cost estimation for mechanical works, including:
i. Air Conditioning, Refrigerating & Mechanical Ventilation Systems
ii. Fire Fighting & Prevention Systems
iii. Cold/Hot Water & Water Reticulation Systems
iv. Sanitary and Waste Disposal Systems
v. Lifts, Escalators, Hoists, and Dumbwaiters
vi. Waste and Water Treatment Systems
· Perform detailed design and engineering calculations for mechanical building services in assigned projects, ensuring all technical aspects are compliant and efficient.
· Ensure all mechanical systems and designs meet local codes, international codes, standards, and guidelines.
· Lead and manage the mechanical engineering aspects of projects, ensuring delivery within scope, time, and budget.
· Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, ensuring successful completion.
· Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
· Lead risk management efforts and implement mitigation strategies when necessary.
· Prepare and present progress reports to clients and senior management, ensuring clear communication on milestones and progress.
· Provide leadership, technical guidance and ensuring technical challenges are addressed effectively.
Qualifications & Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
· Minimum of 7 years of experience in mechanical engineering
· Professional Engineer (PEPC) certification is an added advantage.
· Extensive experience in the design and management of mechanical systems, including HVAC, fire fighting, water reticulation, and waste disposal systems.
· Strong knowledge of local and international codes, standards, and best practices.
· Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project, etc.).
· Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
