Key Responsibilities:

  • System Maintenance: Ensure the ongoing operation and stability of the vendor-provided MES system, performing routine maintenance and updates.
  • Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with the MES vendor for troubleshooting, system enhancements, and updates, as well as maintaining support relationships.
  • Production Support: Monitor the MES system to ensure production is running smoothly, troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise in a timely manner to avoid downtime.
  • Data Integrity: Ensure that the system accurately captures production data, and work to resolve any data discrepancies or system malfunctions.
  • Process Optimization: Leverage MES data and tools to identify opportunities for process improvement, increasing manufacturing efficiency and productivity.
  • Training Support: Act as the internal subject matter expert for MES, supporting the team’s understanding of the system and assisting with training as needed.
  • Documentation: Maintain up-to-date documentation for system configurations, operational procedures, and any system modifications made in collaboration with the vendor.
  • Compliance: Ensure the MES system meets all industry standards and regulatory requirements for data integrity and system performance.

Requirements:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience working with MES in a manufacturing environment.

Technical Skills:

  • Familiarity with MES platforms provided by vendors (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell, Wonderware).
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and how MES systems support these processes.
  • Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for identifying and addressing system issues.

Communication Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with vendors, IT, and production teams.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to manage data and ensure accuracy across the MES system.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with vendor-supported MES platforms in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with automation systems such as PLCs and SCADA for potential integrations.
