Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Quantity Surveyor specializing in Interior Design to manage cost estimation, procurement, and financial oversight for interior fit-out projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of material costing, project budgeting, and contract administration within the interior design industry. This role requires precision, strong numerical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with designers and project teams to ensure cost efficiency and timely project completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, analyze, and manage Bills of Quantities (BQ) for interior design projects.
  • Conduct cost estimation, budgeting, and financial reporting for ongoing fit-out projects.
  • Assess material and labor costs, ensuring cost-effective procurement.
  • Monitor project expenditures and provide financial updates to stakeholders.
  • Evaluate project variations, claims, and contract adjustments.
  • Collaborate with interior designers, architects, and contractors to ensure accurate cost planning.
  • Assist in procurement and tendering processes, including bid analysis and negotiations.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Conduct risk analysis related to project costs and budget forecasting.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in interior design or fit-out projects.
  • Strong knowledge of cost estimation, procurement processes, and contract management.
  • Proficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Excel).
  • Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Interior Design, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in quantity surveying or cost management in interior design projects.
  • Membership or certification from a recognized professional body (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is a plus.
