Job Description
In your new role you will:
  • Leading and guiding a team of 6-10 buyers within a commodity segment and other non-procurement activities as assigned. The tasks include but not limited to leading the buyers to high performances to meet their yearly targets and to ensure compliances to all policies and guidelines.
  • Responsible for a procurement segment with a large purchasing volume and high products/services or market complexity.
  • Responsible to define local procurement strategies for a commodity segment to ensure long-term, cost-effective supply of products/services.
  • Contract and price negotiations for large volumes to contribute to the profitability of the company.
  • Implementation of alternative procurement sources to minimize stock times, inventory levels and costs (cost avoidance or cost reduction).
  • Regular contacts with interface partners to recognize developments (in market, demand, etc.) and exert influence accordingly.
  • Analyses and controlling of contractual agreements. Prepare for re-negotiations/subsequent negotiations, initiate appropriate measures and guarantee supplies.
    • Supplier Management. Gain the best suppliers and guarantee the supply chain security.


Your Profile
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
  • Master or Degree in any management or technical field.
  • Minimum 8-10 years procurement working experience from the semiconductor industry preferably in front end industry.
  • Working experience as both people manager and strategic buyer is a must.
  • Deep knowledge of relevant markets, market development, market main players and competitors is a must.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel.
  • Good coordination skill of interdisciplinary expert team and/or purchasing team.
  • Good working knowledge of TS16949, ISO14001 preferred.
