What is the opportunity?

RBC Investor & Treasury Services Malaysia is a processing center of operational excellence supporting 10 countries across three geographical time zones. The country employs a Global Operating Model to maximise efficiencies across times zones and supports a 24/5 operational capability.

You will be responsible to ensure treatment of cash and security instructions received from RBC Investor & Treasury Services' clients in line with prescribed market, NAV and Treasury deadlines The role is to deliver specific services to external and internal clients with high level of quality, efficiency and fostering a client first mindset.

You will be supporting UK region, working hours would be between 3pm-12am or 4pm - 1am. However, flexibility is required to support business needs.

What will you do?
  • Completion of all trades that fall into STE environment are completed within the agreed timeframe
  • Completion of all manual trades within the agreed timeframe
  • Ensure accuracy of processing is in accordance to RBC Investor & Treasury Services' expectation
  • Assist supervisor in day to day operations of the process
  • Seek ways to enhance and improve process flow and environment
  • Adhere RBC Investor & Treasury Services' core standards
  • Completion of all report's to relevant processing departments in a timely manner
  • Ensure outstanding items are assigned and individual departments/financial institutions are chased for resolution
  • Resolution of trade queries in a timely manner
  • Completion of all assigned task within agreed deadline
  • Resolution on queries for STE and Manual trades
  • Completion of knowledge/training within process in accordance to established learning curve
  • Adherence to risk factors and seek ways of mitigation
  • Ensuring that all internal cut-off time's are adhered to
  • Posting of trades in accordance to procedures
  • Provide coaching to other team members to ensure cross-training of all aspects of funds in order to gain satisfactory cover
  • Cover for departmental Supervisor in his/her absence
  • Assisting line manager with work load allocation amongst team members
  • Establish as the single point of contact for process specific escalations

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have
  • Experience in a Global custody or related financial institution.
  • In depth knowledge and experience (2+ years)
  • At least a College degree
  • Any prior banking experience in operations / Back office is a plus
  • PC literate in MS Office applications Excel and
