Key Responsibilities:
- General Ledger Management: Oversee the maintenance and accuracy of the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded properly.
- Month-End Close: Lead and coordinate month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare detailed financial statements and reports for management review, highlighting key insights and trends.
- Compliance and Controls: Ensure compliance with accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and internal control policies, identifying areas for improvement.
- Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial records.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial operations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with finance team members and other departments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and productive team environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
- 5+ years of accounting experience, with a focus on general ledger and financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, as well as advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
