About the Role:
As an Engineering Manager, you will lead, manage, and inspire your team developing software and tools for efficient delivery. Through hands-on leadership, you’ll help the team fulfil technical, operational, and business requirements. You will drive engineering best practices implementation, development process, delivery and operation of the team’s products.
What you’ll do:
  • Ensure continuously performing and motivated team, delivering highly efficient and predictable outcomes to the business.
  • Work together with business managers to build roadmap, specific requirements and prioritize work according to the business objectives, needs of external and internal users.
  • Represent team to outside stakeholders ensuring the expectations are set properly and the team delivers on promise.
  • Align available resources with product roadmap, facilitate workload planning, communicate risks and dependencies within program stakeholders and business, and resolve any obstacles for the team to secure efficient performance and delivery.
  • Act as primary personnel manager for the team, providing performance management and goal setting for all members of the team, making balanced role assignments or changes as well as career development and promotions.
  • Assist team members in solving work-related difficulties, provide direct contribution and guidance on approaching process and technical challenges.
  • Continuously drive process improvements within the team and wider management.
What You Need To Succeed:
  • 5+ years hands-on engineering experience as a software engineer across the full software development cycle, from design, development, test and production.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering processes and practices.
  • Experience managing or mentoring a team with direct reports.
  • Practical experience with career planning and development, goals management, coaching, team dynamics management, hiring and retaining talent.
  • Practical experience working with Agile principles.
  • Excellence in process and project management, continuous improvements of team and group related processes, effective stakeholder’s management, team’ status communication, mitigation of team’ risks and impediments.
  • Ability to dig into business objectives, navigate through market needs and end-users needs easily, partner with product manager, participate in roadmap creation, advocate customer and end-user needs, focus on solutions efficiency and quality
