Job Summary:

The Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Occupational Health and Safety will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching, research, and academic leadership within University. Job Requirements

  • A Master / PhD (or equivalent doctoral qualification) in Occupational Health and Safety, Public Health, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of teaching experience at a recognised higher education institution.
  • Proven track record of research publications in occupational health and safety.
  • Experience in supervising postgraduate students and research projects.
  • Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations, risk management, and hazard control.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.

Job Description

Teaching & Learning

  • Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions on Occupational Health and Safety at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • Develop and enhance course materials, assessments, and innovative teaching methods that align with industry standards.
  • Supervise and mentor students in their research projects, dissertations, and industrial placements.
  • Ensure academic quality assurance through curriculum reviews and continuous improvement.

Research & Scholarly Activities

  • Conduct high-impact research in occupational health and safety, contributing to the university’s research profile.
  • Publish findings in high-quality peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences.

Academic Leadership & Administration

  • Provide academic leadership in curriculum design and programme development.
  • Lead workshops, training sessions, and seminars for students and professionals in the field.
  • Serve on university committees, accreditation panels, and advisory boards to support institutional development.

Industry & Community Engagement

  • Establish strong partnerships with occupational health professionals, regulatory bodies, and employers.
  • Promote industry linkages through internships, research collaborations, and professional training programmes.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes, workplace safety policies, and international best practices.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
