Assistant Manager - Finance (Investment Holdings)
Description
A. Financial Closing (Monthly/Quarterly/Yearly) and Audit • Review and lead the team for month end / quarter end / year end closing for the IH & ST companies; • Review and lead the team to submit quarterly rolling forecast to Group Finance, • Review and lead the team to submit monthly cash flow forecast to Group Treasury • To back up team members (include preparation) in the closing, when necessary • Cooperate with FSSC to resolve audit schedule discrepancies and bank reconciliation issues that have been pending for a long time. • To review and mentor team members in reviewing D-tax submissions from FSSC • Lead the team in managing accounts payable and receivable to ensure prompt collection and payment. • To ensure year end audit as per agreed timeline • Act as the primary point of contact for auditors, addressing audit concerns and ensuring timely submission of CJEs. B. Corporate Tax • To lead the team in ensuring the accuracy of tax computation, including the input in Esker • To ensure the accuracy and timeliness of tax payable forecasts (CP204) for November, June, and September. • To ensure year-end tax submission as per agreed timeline • To liase with tax agent for any tax-related queries or issues. • Oversee and guide the team in preparing and providing necessary documentation/information during desk audits. • To ensure compliance with all the tax regulations, including transfer pricing (TP) C. Operational Finance • To review and lead the team to submit yearly Business Plan template to Group Finance • To prepare the allocation of Group costs, which includes Mgm Fees, Metabuyer and GBMC costs • Act as the primary liaison for GBMC and BUs on all GBMC-related issues, including donations. • Communicate with BUs on all IH-related issues, including management fees charges. • To review and approve Esker, E-DN/CN, placement/loan request form and other relevant form on time. • To prepare working paper for subsidiaries on Dividend Declaration and liase with BUs. D. Others • Ad hoc tasks / projects as assigned by team
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Comprehensive understanding of MFRS and Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements. • Proven experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a related role. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. • Ability to work independently, multitask, and function as part of a team. • 5 - 8 years related working experience Desirable: • Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, or equivalent will be an advantage. • Prior experience in Big 4, regulatory environment or listed company will be beneficial. • Knowledge of ERP/Consolidation systems, such as JDE/Sigma, would be an added advantage.
