The Talent Development Manager is responsible for designing and implementing talent strategies that support employee career growth within the International Warehouse & Distribution Centre (IWDC) team. This role focuses on career planning, leadership development, talent acquisition & retention, talent pipeline and succession planning to ensure workforce readiness and business sustainability. A key part of this role is setting clear expectations for each role level (Officers, Executives, Senior Executives, Assistant Managers, and Managers) and designing structured career development pathways that provide employees with clear growth opportunities.

The role will also drive performance management and employee engagement initiatives, ensuring that employees receive meaningful feedback, career coaching, and development opportunities. Additionally, this position will work closely with the Training & Development Manager to align career development programs with training interventions.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Job Description Framework for IWDC Department:
o Work closely with division heads to define and update job descriptions for Officers, Executives, Senior Executives, Assistant Managers, and Managers as needed.
o Establish a structured approach where each division is responsible for managing, addressing, and resolving key challenges & collaborating with other stakeholders under their care in alignment with management directives.

2.Career Development & Role Expectations
o Define clear expectations and competencies for each role level.
o Design and implement structured career development pathways to provide employees with transparent growth opportunities.
o Work with managers to facilitate career planning discussions and provide career coaching support.
3. Talent Acquisition & Retention:
o Collaborate with the headquarters’ Human Resources Department and business partners to align talent acquisition efforts with business needs.
o Cultivate a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and career development to enhance employee retention.

4.Talent Pipeline & Succession Planning:
o Develop and execute succession planning strategies for critical roles within the IWDC team.
o Collaborate with HR and IWDC leadership to identify future leaders and provide targeted career development opportunities.
o Ensure internal mobility and career progression opportunities to retain top talent.

5. Performance Management & Employee Engagement:
o Drive initiatives that enhance employee engagement, retention, and career satisfaction.
o Partner with HR and IWDC leadership to integrate performance management with career growth strategies.
o Support managers in conducting meaningful career discussions and performance evaluations to ensure continuous employee development.
o Foster a culture of continuous feedback and development through structured engagement initiatives.

6. Stakeholder Collaboration & HR Integration:
oAct as the primary HR contact for employee concerns, performance issues, and workplace conflicts.
o Work closely with the Training & Development Manager to identify skills gaps and ensure training programs support career development needs.
o Partner with HR, business leaders, and regional teams to ensure career growth initiatives align with business objectives.
7. HR Operations & Compliance:
o Ensure HR policies, employment laws, and compliance requirements are met across all teams and regions.
o Provide guidance on compensation, benefits, and performance evaluation frameworks.
o Leverage HR analytics to measure the success of career development programs, succession planning efforts, and engagement initiatives.
o Provide talent development insights and best practices to enhance workforce capability and retention.

Experience/ Skills requirement:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field.
2. At least 5-10 years of experience in talent development, career planning, or organizational development.
3. Strong expertise in career development, talent management, and succession planning.
4. Experience in defining job descriptions, role expectations and designing structured career development frameworks.
5. Proven ability to collaborate with training teams to align career development with learning programs.
6. Experience in performance management and employee engagement strategies.
7. Excellent stakeholder management, coaching, and communication skills.
8. Proficiency in HR systems, talent analytics, and career development frameworks.
9. Experience working in warehouse, supply chain, or distribution environments is an advantage.
