About the role

We are seeking an experienced Laboratory Manager to join our team at ACCURA HEALTHCARE SDN. BHD. in Puchong, Selangor. As the Laboratory Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our state-of-the-art pathology laboratory, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency. This is a full-time position offering competitive remuneration and opportunities for professional development.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage and supervise a team of laboratory technicians and analysts to ensure smooth and effective operations
  • Oversee the processing, analysis and reporting of a wide range of pathological tests and samples
  • Implement and monitor quality control measures to maintain the integrity and accuracy of test results
  • Liaise with clinicians and other healthcare professionals to provide expert guidance and interpretation of test findings
  • Manage the procurement of equipment, supplies and reagents to support laboratory activities
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 15189, relevant regulations, guidelines and safety protocols
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of laboratory processes and the implementation of new technologies
  • Provide leadership, mentorship and training to the laboratory team

What we're looking for

  • A recognised degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biomedical Science or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior laboratory management role within the pathology industry
  • Hands-on experience in implementing& achieving ISO 15189
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of laboratory professionals
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Strong technical knowledge of laboratory instrumentation, quality assurance and accreditation standards
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clinicians and other stakeholders
  • Proficient in data analysis, report writing and the use of laboratory information management systems
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying up-to-date with industry trends
