What do I need?

To be shortlisted for this position, you will need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Developmental Studies, Public Policy, Education, Research Methods or related field (in progress or completed)
  • Experience with data analysis and visualisation tools (Google Data Studio, Power BI etc.) is a plus
  • Proficiency in using Google Work Space tools e.g. Google Sheets and Google Docs, etc.
  • High proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and verbal)
  • Strong analytical, research, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interest in social impact measurement and evaluation
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • Ability to work in-person from the office and other areas for programme implementation, including traveling to remote Orang Asli/Orang Asal villages.

What will I do?

In this role you will:

  • Conduct research on Indigenous groups, TVET students, and B40 youth, including direct interactions with participants.
  • Support program improvements by analysing participant feedback and identifying areas for enhancement.
  • Assist in developing evaluation frameworks, tracking program outcomes, and preparing data reports.
  • Leverage Google Data Studio, Power BI, and other tools to create insightful dashboards that inform decision-making.
  • Summarise research findings into structured reports that inform decision-making.
  • To apply the principles of Theory of Change & Logic Framework to assess and refine program effectiveness.
  • Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure research aligns with program needs.
  • Participate in field visits, including to Orang Asli/Orang Asal villages, to collect data and observe program implementation.
