Social Media Manager

Tasks – Under the supervision of the Counsellor for Regional and Communications and Senior Strategic Communications Manager:

  • Manage the Australian High Commission’s social media accounts
  • Identify and create content to engage audiences
  • Create social media calendars and schedules
  • Work across the Australian High Commission, including with colleagues from other Departments, to create content
  • Develop social media strategies to maximise impact
  • Report and analyse the performance of social media campaigns

Required skills

  • Experience of at least 3 years in content writing and social media management, or other relevant role
  • The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Media & Communications, or Mass Communication, with a specialization in Public Relations, Journalism, or Digital Media.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
  • Expertise in social media platforms (X, Facebook, Instagram), including requirements and best practices
  • Strong attention to detail with time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • A team player

Working hours: The working hours for this position follow standard office hours.

Salary: RM5000 - RM7000

Job Types: Contract, Temporary
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: Up to RM7,000.00 per month
