Job Description:

1. Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

2. Analyze market trends and supplier performance to make informed purchasing decisions.

3. Collaborate with senior management to align procurement strategies with business objectives.

4. Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors.

5. Negotiate contracts, pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve the best value.

6. Monitor supplier performance to ensure quality, delivery, and compliance standards are met.

7. Oversee the procurement cycle, including requisitions, approvals, purchasing, and inventory management.

8. Ensure the timely delivery of goods and services to meet operational needs.

9. Resolve any issues related to delayed deliveries, quality concerns, or payment disputes.

10. Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.

11. Mitigate risks associated with the supply chain through robust contracts and contingency planning.

12. Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and reporting purposes.

13. Lead, mentor, and train the procurement team to improve efficiency and performance.

14. Establish KPIs and regularly review team performance.

15. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.

16. Identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality.

17. Manage budgets and track procurement expenses.

Requirement:

  • Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Mechanical Engineering or any related field.
  • Experience as a sales/purchasing and procurement/supply chain management manager for at least 3 years.
  • Ability to lead and manage a procurement team
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation and demonstration skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, particularly MS Excel & PowerPoint
  • Good written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Be Able to communicate with all levels in an organization
  • Ability to evaluate market trends, analyze supplier performance, and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Possess own transport (Car).
  • Office based at at Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor.
  • Office Operation: 8.00 am - 5.00 pm OR 9.00 am - 6.00 pm (Monday to Friday)
  • 8.00 am - 1.00 pm (Saturday, WFH)

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
