Preschool Mandarin Teacher

Language Instruction:

• Teach Mandarin vocabulary and grammar through interactive activities, songs, stories, and play-based learning.
• Expose children to diverse Mandarin dialects and cultural practices through appropriate materials and activities.
• Encourage children to speak Mandarin in daily interactions with peers and teachers.

  Curriculum Development and Implementation:

  • Plan and execute appropriate Mandarin-based lessons aligned with the preschool curriculum,
  • Create engaging learning centers and activities to support language acquisition and development across various learning styles.
  • Adapt curriculum to meet individual needs of children, including those with different language proficiency levels.

    Classroom Management:

    • Establish a positive and structured learning environment that promotes active participation and respect for classmates.
    • Manage classroom routines and transitions smoothly, ensuring children's safety and well-being.
    • Implement effective classroom management strategies to address children's behaviors and promote positive social interactions.

      Parent Communication and Collaboration:

      • Regularly communicate with parents about their child's progress in Mandarin language development and overall classroom learning.
      • Encourage parents to actively support their child's language learning at home through suggested activities and materials.

        Professional Development:

        • Stay updated on best practices in early childhood education and Mandarin language teaching through professional development opportunities.
        • Collaborate with other teachers to share strategies and enhance the quality of Mandarin language instruction.

Education:

• Minimum requirement – SPM with credit for BM
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, or a related field with a strong foundation in Mandarin language teaching will be an advantage.

  Language Proficiency:

  • Native-level fluency in Mandarin Chinese, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Half day work – 7.15am – 1pm
