PRECISION TURNING MACHINIST EXPERT

• Works from blueprints, sketches, production diagrams, engineering drawings and verbal instructions to fabricate a variety of machined components. • Monitor the processing of a workpiece in motion, such as a piece of metal moved linearly over a static manufacturing machine. • Manufacture and assemble precision tool, jigs, dies, and fixtures to exact specifications. • Studies blueprints and sketches in order to plan material, equipment, and labour needs to accomplish tasks. • Working closely with engineers and machinists to refine designs and troubleshoot issues. • Ensure the machine is fed the necessary and adequate materials and control the placement or automatic feed and retrieval of work pieces in the machines or machine tools on the production line. • Trouble shoot day to day machining problems with help of team member's and find the solutions. • Inspects parts using precision measuring tools such as micrometres, dial indicators, and callipers. • Set up and operate CNC and manual lathes to produce precision components. • Securing holding fixtures, attachments, accessories, and other materials onto machines. • Ensure that regular maintenance is conducted in a planned and timely manner. Create program, sets up the machine, starts the machine and monitors it until the job is complete. • expert in machining techniques, tool selection, and quality control to ensure that parts meet strict tolerances and specifications. • Adjust machine settings, tooling, and feeds/speeds to maintain high accuracy. • Ensure the machine is fed the necessary and adequate materials and control the placement or automatic feed and retrieval of work pieces in the machines or machine tools on the production line. • Participate in machining discussions and production meetings. • Supervise a team of machinists.
