JOB DESCRIPTION Position FLUIDS FIELD ENGINEER – 1 Responsibilities 1. Fluid System Support: • Assist in the design, formulation, and application of drilling, completion, or production fluid systems (including drilling muds, cement, and other well fluids). • Monitor fluid properties and make adjustments to maintain optimal performance during operations. • Oversee the preparation, mixing, and testing of fluid products for various oilfield operations. 2. On-Site Field Support: • Provide real-time technical support and troubleshooting during operations at the drilling rig, well site, or production facility. • Assist in the deployment of fluids for specific operational needs (e.g., drilling, fracking, or well cleaning). • Coordinate fluid deliveries, manage inventory, and ensure that necessary materials and equipment are on-site. 3. Fluid Quality Monitoring: • Conduct routine testing and quality control of fluid properties such as viscosity, density, pH, and filtration to ensure compliance with operational requirements. • Track the performance of fluids and make necessary adjustments based on operational data and field conditions. • Report any deviations or issues with fluid performance and recommend corrective actions. 4. Collaboration and Communication: • Work closely with drilling teams, engineers, and other field personnel to ensure fluid systems are integrated smoothly into daily operations. • Report regularly to senior engineers and project managers regarding fluid system performance and operational status. • Provide guidance and training to other field personnel on fluid operations and equipment. 5. Safety and Compliance: • Ensure that fluid operations adhere to safety protocols and environmental regulations. • Assist in conducting risk assessments and safety checks to minimize risks related to fluid handling and disposal. • Promote a safe working environment by identifying potential hazards and implementing corrective actions. 6. Data Logging and Documentation: • Maintain accurate and detailed records of fluid testing, inventory, and operational data. • Prepare reports and update databases with real-time information from the field. • Document issues, challenges, and solutions related to fluid performance for future reference. 7. Continuous Learning and Development: • Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and fluid systems innovations. • Participate in training programs and certifications to improve technical skills and safety awareness.
