Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant Manager to support the financial operations of the company. This role involves overseeing daily accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, assisting in the preparation of financial statements, and managing accounting teams. The Accounts Assistant Manager will also collaborate with other departments to improve financial processes and maintain compliance with company policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of accurate financial records, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
  • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and ensuring adherence to company standards and deadlines.
  • Prepare financial reports and analyses for management, highlighting key trends, variances, and recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, tax regulations, and internal controls.
  • Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting, providing insights on financial performance and cost management.
  • Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial statements.
  • Identify opportunities for improving accounting processes and implementing best practices.
  • Maintain and improve accounting systems and software to streamline operations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant, Junior Accountant, or similar role with at least 2-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (SAP) and MS Excel.
  • Solid understanding of tax regulations, financial reporting, and accounting procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From RM2,500.00 per month
