Interrelations
The position reports to the Vice President, Sustainability & Communication whilst closely working with other business units and their teams.
Main responsibilities:
  • Data analysis and interpretation: Assist in collecting, managing, and interpreting data associated with relevant ESG metrics to track and understand ongoing performance, identify gaps and areas for improvement. Engage and educate various internal stakeholders on sustainability/ESG priorities and impacts.
  • Research and benchmarking: Tracking changes in ESG standards, ratings and rankings and WSM’s performance relative to our industry and relevant global leaders. Leading subject matter expertise, work collaboratively across the organization. Monitor industry trends and best practices and incorporate them into the business as needed; track new and proposed reporting frameworks and guidelines to support identification and implementation of sustainability projects and initiatives.
  • Reporting: Support the development of the company’s ESG/Sustainability report annually to align with group reporting frameworks. Support the materiality assessment process including ongoing updates to align with global best practice. Support sustainability/ESG reporting through developing content, capturing and analysing applicable data, and coordinating details and data with business unit partners.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Finance, business, economics, or sustainability
  • 5 + years of experience with sustainability (advantage)
  • Background working directly in corporate ESG/sustainability and some knowledge on internal control
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify and effectively communicate complex ESG concepts to a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Understanding of business management systems (environmental, health and safety and enterprise risk)
