Job Summary:
The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for assisting in the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient handling, storage, and dispatch of goods. This role involves inventory management, stock control, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders or invoices.
- Ensure proper storage and arrangement of goods to maximize warehouse space.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch according to customer or internal requirements.
- Conduct regular stock checks and cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory records.
- Assist in loading and unloading goods from trucks or containers.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse to ensure a safe working environment.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely (if certified).
- Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and warehouse policies.
- Assist in coordinating with other departments to facilitate smooth warehouse operations.
- Report any damaged, missing, or faulty goods to the supervisor.
Requirements:
- Minimum e.g., SPM/O-Level] or equivalent.
- Prior experience in warehouse operations is an advantage.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items.
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking (if applicable).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
