Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Oversee and manage all financial reporting functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of reports (monthly, quarterly, and annual).
- Ensure financial statements are in compliance with local and international accounting standards.
- Prepare detailed financial reports for the Board of Directors, senior management, and external auditors.
- Collaborate with external auditors to ensure a smooth audit process and compliance with relevant regulations.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting activities, ensuring alignment with business objectives and growth targets.
- Monitor performance against budget, analyze variances, and provide actionable insights to senior management.
- Evaluate the financial impact of potential business decisions and strategic initiatives.
Internal Controls and Financial Strategy:
- Establish, implement, and monitor internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate and improve the financial operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness within the logistics business.
- Identify financial risks and provide recommendations for mitigating potential risks to the business.
Cash Flow and Treasury Management:
- Oversee cash flow management to ensure liquidity for daily operations and future investments.
- Manage treasury functions, including bank relationships, credit facilities, and debt management.
Taxation and Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure the company complies with tax laws and regulations, ensuring the timely filing of tax returns.
- Oversee tax planning and strategy to minimize tax liabilities in accordance with local and international tax laws.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree or professional qualification like CPA, ACCA, or CFA is a plus).
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in financial management or controlling, preferably in logistics or transportation.
- Proven track record in financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting within a large organization.
- Strong understanding of financial systems, accounting practices, and internal controls.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights.
- Ability to communicate financial information effectively to stakeholders at all levels, including Board members, external auditors, and investors.
- High proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Detail-oriented, with a high level of accuracy and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to contribute to strategic decision-making.
