Job Description

You will be responsible for driving digitalisation, developing automation solutions and coordinating automation projects to improve factory operation performance. Your role is vital for the company's overall efficiency, productivity and cost improvement.

Responsibilities:

1. Process Analysis and Optimization:

  • Conduct thorough analysis of existing processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement process improvement strategies, including lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, or other relevant techniques.
  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of process changes to ensure desired outcomes are achieved.

2. Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Collect and analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and root causes of operational issues.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and measure performance.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to management.

3. Project Management:

  • Lead or participate in operational improvement projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project goals.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective collaboration and resource allocation.

4. Equipment and Machinery Optimization:

  • Evaluate equipment and machinery performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Recommend upgrades, maintenance schedules, or process changes to enhance equipment efficiency and reliability.

5. Technology Assessment and Implementation:

  • Evaluate and select appropriate smart manufacturing technologies (e.g., automation, robotics, IoT, data analytics) to address specific manufacturing challenges.
  • Develop and implement technology integration strategies to optimize processes and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with IT and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of new technologies.

6. Data Analytics and Optimization:

  • Collect and analyze manufacturing data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement data-driven decision-making processes to optimize production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Utilize predictive analytics to anticipate equipment failures and prevent downtime.

7. Automation and Robotics:

  • Design, develop, and implement automation and robotics solutions to automate repetitive tasks and improve productivity.
  • Integrate automation systems with existing manufacturing infrastructure to ensure compatibility and efficiency.
  • Optimize robot performance and maintenance to maximize ROI.

8. IoT Integration:

  • Implement IoT sensors and devices to collect real-time data from manufacturing processes.
  • Develop IoT applications to monitor equipment performance, track inventory, and optimize energy consumption.
  • Analyze IoT data to identify opportunities for process improvement and predictive maintenance.

Requirements:

  • At least Degree in Engineering (Computer Science/ Mechatronic / Computer Engineering/ Electronics / Mechanical) or equivalent
  • At least 1 to 3 years of experience in manufacturing with broad knowledge and technical understanding on industrial automation, robotics, programming, PLC and sensor system or test equipment developments.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, statistical software).
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other operational improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in a Automotive plastic manufacturing is preferred.
  • Knowledge in Node-Red, OPC, Operation Technology is advantage.

Desirable:

  • Experience with ERP/MES systems
  • Knowledge in C/C++, Java & Python would be an extra point of consideration.
  • Understand various industrial control systems like PLCs, SCADA
  • Familiar with communication protocols such as Modbus, OPC, MQTT

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM6,500.00 per month
