Test & Debug Manager

Job Scope: • Oversee the troubleshooting and debugging of PCBA defects, identifying issues such as shorts, opens, and component failures using diagnostic tools and methodologies. • Ensure accurate and detailed documentation of debugging processes, findings, and corrective actions for internal reference and knowledge sharing. • Collaborate with manufacturing, design, and quality teams to provide feedback for process improvements and defect reduction. • Monitor and maintain test and debug equipment, ensuring they are calibrated and functioning optimally. • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices for debugging and testing. • Analyze failure trends and recommend corrective actions to improve overall product quality and reliability. • Provide technical training and mentorship to team members to enhance their debugging and testing capabilities. Requirements: • Diploma or Degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering or a relevant field. • Minimum 5 years of working experience in a related field. • Experience in PCBA debugging, testing, and validation within relevant industries is an advantage. • Strong competency in reading and understanding schematic diagrams and component datasheets. • Proficiency in using Digital Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, and various test protocols. • Excellent leadership and people management skills to oversee the debug/test team. • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues. • Knowledge of failure analysis, root cause investigation, and continuous improvement processes.
