Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage a team of servers, bartenders, cooks, and other front- and back-of-house staff.
- Handle customer complaints and concerns, aiming for resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor food and beverage inventory, ensuring timely reordering of stock and minimizing waste.
- Assist in budget planning and control, ensuring that costs stay within the department's financial objectives.
- Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new staff members.
- Assist with organizing and overseeing special events, banquets, or catering services when needed.
- Help execute marketing and promotional campaigns to increase customer engagement and satisfaction.
- Monitor sales performance and suggest initiatives to increase revenue (e.g., promotions, special events).
- Ensure that checklists, inventory counts, and cash management procedures are followed properly.
- Oversee food preparation and presentation, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Ensure that health and safety standards are followed at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, kitchens, and storage spaces.
- Ensure that the restaurant/venue is operating in compliance with all quality standards and customer expectations.
- Train, motivate, and evaluate staff to ensure high levels of performance and customer service.
- Handle scheduling & timekeeping
- Address and resolve staff performance or behavioral issues as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in hospitality or business management preferred.
- Proven experience in the F&B industry, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, including serving techniques, menu planning, and quality control.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the food industry.
- Proficient in POS systems, scheduling software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Able to work as a team.
- Must be willing to work on shifts (retail hours) / weekends and public holidays.
- Open for Malaysian citizen only.
