Cashier

The cashier will be responsible for processing customer transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit, and debit card payments, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The role involves interacting with customers, providing product information, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Key Responsibilities: Customer Transactions: Operate the cash register to process customer purchases. Scan items, bag goods, and provide accurate change when necessary. Handle various forms of payment, including cash, credit/debit cards, and digital payments. Customer Service: Greet customers with a friendly and professional demeanor. Assist customers with locating items and answering product-related questions. Address any customer concerns or issues in a calm and courteous manner. Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and free of clutter. Ensure the cash register is stocked with necessary supplies (e.g., receipt paper, bags). Cash Handling: Accurately count and handle cash, ensuring no discrepancies in the till. Perform cash reconciliation at the beginning and end of each shift. Product Knowledge: Be knowledgeable about store promotions, discounts, and loyalty programs. Communicate sales and special offers to customers effectively. Additional Duties: Assist with restocking shelves or organizing products when needed. Follow all store policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. Support other team members as needed, especially during busy periods.
