Key Responsibilities: 1. Safety Management: •Develop, implement, and enforce safety programs and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. •Perform risk assessments and hazard analysis for construction, installation, and maintenance activities. •Ensure proper safety signage, equipment, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are available and used on-site. 2. Training & Awareness: • Conduct safety induction and training sessions for all site personnel, including subcontractors. •Ensure workers are aware of the hazards and proper protocols for working with solar energy systems, such as working at heights, electrical safety, and handling solar panels. 3. Inspection & Monitoring: •Regularly inspect the site to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions. •Monitor compliance with safety protocols and procedures throughout the project lifecycle. •Conduct daily site safety meetings and toolbox talks to address safety concerns and ensure ongoing awareness. 4. Incident Reporting & Investigation: •Oversee the reporting, documentation, and investigation of any safety incidents or near misses. •Investigate accidents to identify causes and recommend preventive measures. 5. Emergency Response: •Develop and maintain emergency response plans, including procedures for dealing with electrical accidents, fires, and other site-specific emergencies. •Ensure that first aid and firefighting equipment is readily available and accessible. 6. Collaboration & Communication: •Work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure safety is integrated into all project planning and activities. •Maintain regular communication with clients and other stakeholders regarding safety progress and concerns. 7. Compliance & Reporting: •Ensure that all site activities comply with safety standards, regulations, and company policies. •Prepare and submit regular safety reports and audits as required by local authorities and the project management team. 8. Safety Documentation: •Maintain accurate records of safety training, safety audits, inspections, and incident reports. •Ensure that all required safety documentation is completed and accessible for auditing purposes. Qualifications: •Education: Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, or related field. •Certifications: Valid safety certifications such as NIOSH, OSHA (if applicable), or equivalent. •Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in site safety supervision, preferably in the solar energy or construction industry. •Knowledge: Familiarity with solar power systems, electrical safety standards, and construction safety regulations. • Skills: • Strong communication and leadership skills. • Ability to conduct safety training and audits. • Knowledge of risk assessment and mitigation techniques. • Proficiency in safety management software and reporting. Working Conditions: • Site-based work, often in outdoor conditions. • May require working at heights, in confined spaces, or in extreme weather conditions. • Flexible working hours depending on the project schedule. • Previous experience in solar energy projects or renewable energy
