Kitchen Operations & Food Preparation: Assist the chef in food preparation, ensuring meals meet client specifications. Support cooking processes, helping to prepare, cook, and present food, ensuring quality and visual appeal. Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure the timely and efficient production of food while minimizing waste. Ensure all kitchen equipment and tools are cleaned, maintained, and in proper working condition. Sanitation & Cleanliness: Sort and remove food waste, ensuring it is placed in designated waste areas. Wash dishes, glassware, pots, and utensils manually or using dishwashers. Clean, sanitize, and maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils to ensure hygiene and safety. Sweep, scrub, mop floors, and clean wall surfaces. Adhere to 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) to ensure cleanliness and organization in the kitchen. Customer Service & Canteen Assistance: Demonstrate a positive, enthusiastic attitude while interacting with customers and team members. Set up and re-stock service counters, trays, and tables, ensuring everything is ready for service. Ensure that food is served safely, maintaining hygiene standards and avoiding any health hazards. Provide excellent customer service, addressing customers' needs and expectations efficiently. Food Safety & Hygiene Compliance: Ensure all food service operations comply with food safety regulations and health standards, including HACCP. Adhere to personal hygiene standards while on duty and ensure that all work areas comply with food safety requirements. Assist with food cost control, waste management, and inventory to reduce spoilage. Team Collaboration: Work effectively within a team to support various kitchen and food service functions. Assist in coordinating kitchen tasks and ensuring smooth daily operations. Follow operational policies and procedures to maintain a high standard of service.
