  1. Make sure the webpage is open.
  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.
  3. Make sure the Enable JavaScript checkbox is selected.
  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

1. Assisting with Design Work

  • Assist the interior designer in completing design sketches, floor plans, 3D renderings, or visual effects, typically using design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3ds Max, Photoshop, etc.).
  • Adjust design schemes and refine details based on the designer’s guidance.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions, offering creative suggestions or references.

2. Materials and Product Research

  • Collect and organize material samples (e.g., flooring, wallpaper, paint, fabrics) and information on suppliers for furniture, lighting, and decorative items.
  • Assist in comparing prices, quality, and availability of different products, preparing material lists or purchase recommendations.
  • Contact suppliers to request quotes or samples.

3. Project Coordination and Management

  • Help prepare project documents, including design proposals, budgets, and timelines.
  • Communicate with clients, contractors, or other team members to relay the designer’s instructions or feedback.
  • Track project progress to ensure tasks are completed on time.

4. On-Site Support

  • Accompany the designer during site visits, recording measurements (e.g., space dimensions, lighting conditions, etc.).
  • Monitor the construction process to ensure the design scheme is implemented as planned.
  • Assist in arranging furniture and decor to finalize the space setup.

5. Administrative and Clerical Work

  • Organize and file design drawings, contracts, invoices, and other documents.
  • Schedule meetings and prepare presentation materials, such as PowerPoint slides, for clients.
  • Respond to client emails or calls, handling daily communication.

6. Learning and Growth

  • Learn about the latest interior design trends, materials, and technologies to stay updated with industry developments.
  • Improve design skills and professional knowledge under the designer’s guidance.

Required Skills

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe suite), basic drafting, and rendering abilities.
  • Communication Skills: Collaborate effectively with designers, clients, and suppliers.
  • Organizational Skills: Manage multiple tasks and ensure smooth project progress.
  • Aesthetic Sense: Sensitivity to color, spatial layout, and decoration.
  • Attention to Detail and Patience: Handle detailed work and adapt to repeated revisions.

Work Environment

  • You may work in an office or need to visit client sites or suppliers.
