Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Operations Manager to oversee and optimize oil and gas field operations in Malaysia. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in production, well operations, maintenance, and HSE compliance, with proven leadership skills in managing large teams within the Malaysian oil and gas sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership & Management:
  • Oversee daily operations of production, well testing, and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure operations meet efficiency, safety, and regulatory requirements specific to Malaysia.
  • Develop and implement strategies for cost reduction, productivity enhancement, and operational efficiency.
  • HSE Compliance & Risk Management:
  • Enforce strict adherence to HSE policies and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Conduct risk assessments and incident investigations, implementing corrective measures.
  • Ensure compliance with Malaysian oil & gas regulations and international standards.
  • Team & Stakeholder Management:
  • Lead cross-functional teams, including engineers, field operators, and technicians.
  • Coordinate with reservoir, production, and facility engineers to ensure seamless operations.
  • Act as a key liaison with clients, regulatory bodies, and company leadership.
  • Budgeting & Resource Allocation:
  • Manage budget planning and cost control for operations.
  • Oversee procurement and maintenance of critical oilfield equipment.
  • Ensure optimal resource allocation for production, and well intervention activities.
  • Technical Expertise & Problem Solving:
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and implement best practices for efficiency.
  • Provide technical guidance in well intervention, completions, and facility operations.
  • Leverage data analytics for predictive maintenance and production optimization.

Key Requirements:

  • 10-15 years of experience in oil and gas operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of well testing, production, and facility operations.
  • Expertise in HSE regulations, process safety management, and compliance standards.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong background in budgeting, cost control, and project execution.
  • Experience working with international oilfield service providers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Certifications in Well Control (IWCF/IADC), HSE, and Project Management (PMP).
  • Experience in offshore and onshore operations within Malaysia.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM15,000.00 - RM20,000.00 per month
