The Assistant Shift Lead will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of batch processing tasks within our data center environment. This position involves monitoring, controlling, and maintaining batch processing systems, performing routine checks, addressing technical issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely delivery of processed data to our clients.

• Coordinate and delegate tasks among team members to ensure smooth operation during day-end processing. • Supervise the execution of day-end processing procedures, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in data handling, backups, and other critical tasks. • Address any issues or challenges that arise during day-end processing promptly and effectively, either by resolving them directly or escalating them to appropriate personnel. • Monitor system performance and data integrity throughout the day-end processing period and generate reports detailing any anomalies or discrepancies for further investigation. • Manage resources such as personnel, equipment, and supplies effectively to optimize workflow and ensure the successful completion of day-end processing tasks. • Ensure that day-end processing activities comply with relevant regulations, standards, and security protocols to protect sensitive data and maintain regulatory compliance. • Maintain accurate records and documentation of day-end processing activities, including procedures, logs, and incident reports, to support auditing and continuous improvement efforts. • Provide training and guidance to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge related to day-end processing procedures and best practices. • Facilitate clear and timely communication with stakeholders, including management, other departments, and external partners, to keep them informed of day-end processing status and any relevant issues. • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains in day-end processing operations, and collaborate with team members and other stakeholders to implement changes effectively.

• Proven experience as a Data Center Operator or similar role, with specific exposure to batch processing operations. • Familiarity with batch processing tools, such as A-Auto (Mainframe tool), ASG ZENA scheduler (to monitor FTP & Batches) or similar. • Proficiency in working with mainframe systems and open systems. • Knowledge of IT infrastructure components, including servers (VMWare), storage systems (Veritas NetBackup monitoring), and to use putty for Unix related tasks. • To work on a rotating shift schedule (2 shift cycle/ 12 hours shift), including weekends and holidays, to ensure 24/7 coverage of batch processing operations.
