  1. Make sure the webpage is open.

  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Job Specification & Responsibilities

  • To work closely with the Senior Sous Chef/Executive Chef on recruitment, training, development, counseling, discipline and staff welfare.
  • To ensure that cost of operation are kept within the guidelines.
  • To order daily operation of raw materials or product needed in IDB System.
  • To request Stock Requisition for take item needed in food or general store by using IDB System.
  • To key in new menu in IDB System for creating the ingredient cost price.
  • To plan with Senior Sous Chef/Executive Chef in preparing kitchen promotion menu and new pricing items.
  • Ensure that all necessary requirements for promotions are prepared and carried out according to schedule.
  • Ensure that all service operations, food and hygiene standards in pastry kitchen are complied.
  • To check on all ala carte dishes, prepare hot food for buffets, to check food for banquet and other day to day operations.
  • Ensure that pastry kitchen equipment and utensils are properly maintain and used according to standard operating procedures.
  • To assist Senior Sous Chef/Executive Chef in planning, design, and overseeing the implementation of existing kitchen renovation or creations on new kitchens.
  • Work closely with Purchasing Manager for purchasing of new pastry product when needed.
  • To work closely with Chief Steward to ensure pastry kitchen area are remain clean and orderly.
  • Performs other related duties as required by the Executive Chef.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of Kitchen Operation Management.
  • Able to update and create new dessert recipes and cakes.
  • Basic knowledge of Labor Laws of Malaysia is an advantages.
  • Knowledge of operation and usage of kitchen equipments.
  • Good leadership skill.

CREDENTIALS AND EXPERIENCE

1. Diploma or Degree in Food and Beverage or Kitchen Management.

2. Ten years experience in management capacity.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

1. Willing to work overtime, holidays and weekends.

2. Able to speak and write in English & Bahasa Malaysia.

3. Willing to assist in banqueting services when required.
