Occupational Health Nurse
Summary of Role:
Occupational Health Nurse (OHN) will be located at our client site in the Klang Valley area. The role is crucial for ensuring the health and safety of employees at the client site. The OHN will be responsible for managing medical care services, emergency response, and implementing health programs in line with company policies and regulatory standards.
Minimum Competencies Requirements:
Educational Qualifications: A minimum of a Diploma in Nursing or Medical Assistant with an Occupational Health Nurse qualification.
Registration/License: Valid professional registration/license with the relevant regulatory body in Malaysia.
Practicing Certificate: A valid Annual Practicing Certificate from the Malaysian Ministry of Health.
Work Experience: At least three years of post-graduation experience, including one year in an emergency or trauma unit or two years as an Industrial Medic/Nurse. Certifications: Valid certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required, and Trauma Life Support or equivalent is recommended.
Training: Occupational and Public Health Training is recommended.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Medical Care Services: Provide primary medical care and ensure employees' fitness for work.
First Aid and Medical Treatment: Offer first aid and medical treatment for work-related cases.
Medical Emergency Management: Handle medical emergencies, including resuscitation and stabilization. Powered by AI
Medical Evacuation (MEDEVAC): Conduct medical evacuations when necessary.
Patient Referral: Refer patients for further medical attention when needed.
Transportation of Patients: Safely transport sick or injured persons to hospitals.
Facility Readiness: Maintain medical facilities' operational readiness.
Waste Disposal: Manage the disposal of expired drugs and clinical waste.
Other Responsibilities:
Occupational Health Programmes: Develop and implement health programs and activities.
Program Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of health programs.
Assurance and Compliance: Ensure compliance with Occupational Health procedures.
Public Health Management: Manage public health matters.
Training and Communication: Conduct health-related training and communication.
Focal Person: Serve as the focal person for Occupational Health Procedures.
Incident Investigation: Investigate and report Occupational Health related incidents.
Budget Management: Oversee the budget for Occupational Health programs.
Other Requirements:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
