JOB DESCRIPTION OF IQC SUPERVISOR
The Incoming Quality Control (IQC) Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the inspection and testing of raw materials, components, and products from suppliers to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. This role involves leading a team of quality inspectors, maintaining compliance with quality systems, and driving improvements in supplier quality performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspection Oversight:
· Supervise and coordinate the activities of the IQC team to inspect incoming materials, components, equipment usage and data collection
· Review and approve inspection reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards.
· Ensure proper sampling and testing procedures are followed per established guidelines.
Process Compliance:
· Ensure all IQC processes comply with company standards, ISO 9001 and ISO13485 requirements, applicable statutory and regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
Team Leadership:
· Train and mentor IQC inspectors to enhance their skills and knowledge.
· Schedule and manage workload distribution to meet production and quality requirements.
· Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
· Maintain good housekeeping.
· Ensure QC Inspector has good discipline.
Reporting and Documentation:
· Maintain accurate records of inspection results, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
· He or She shall also assume any responsibilities that are assigned to him or her as and when the need arises
Coordination with Other Departments:
· Work closely with production, SMT, engineering, and production teams to resolve material-related quality issues.
Skills
· Proficiency in using quality management software and tools.
· Understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 13485 or other relevant quality standards
· Strong understanding of quality control principles and practices.
· Familiar in using inspection tools and equipment. Able to operate 3-axis video measuring machine (Falcon) is an advantage.
· Proficiency in computer skills and relevant software applications (Microsoft Excel)
· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Familiar with IPC-A-600, JSTD-033
Qualifications:
· Diploma in engineering, quality management, or a related field (preferred).
· Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality control or assurance, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
Working Condition
· Work is typically performed in a manufacturing environment.
· Regularly work in manufacturing and warehouse environments.
· May involve occasional travel to supplier sites for audits or inspections if required.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM3,200.00 per month
