Job Purpose
An experienced Data Platform Architecture Manager to lead our data platform team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and building our data platform to support analytics and business intelligence initiatives. This role is critical in ensuring that our data infrastructure is robust, scalable, and capable of meeting the organization’s analytical needs.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of the data platform.
- Manage a team of data engineers and platform specialists.
- Ensure the data platform supports the organization’s analytics and business intelligence requirements.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver solutions.
- Implement best practices for data pipeline management, data integration, and data security.
- Monitor and optimize the performance of the data platform.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data platform management.
- Enforce data governance policies and procedures
Requirements
Education/ Professional Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Proven experience in managing data platforms and data engineering teams.
- Strong understanding of data architecture, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Proficiency in SQL and other data manipulation languages.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Professional Experience
Minimum of 4 years relevant Data Platform and People Manager Experience required:
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and Cloud services (Azure, AWS and/or GCP)
- Certification in relevant data platform technologies or data management.
