Job Title: Head Coach – Fitness Centre Location: Af UOA Bangsar Employment Type: Full-Time Reporting To: Fitness Centre Manager / Gym Owner Job Summary: The Head Coach is responsible for leading the fitness team, ensuring high coaching standards, and enhancing member engagement. This role involves supervising personal trainers, designing fitness programs, managing individual and team goals, and maintaining a high-energy, results-driven fitness culture. Key Responsibilities: 1. Leadership & Team Management: • Oversee the recruitment, training, and performance of personal trainers and group fitness instructors. • Set and manage individual and team goals to ensure trainers deliver high-quality coaching. • Conduct regular team meetings, provide ongoing skill development, and mentor trainers for professional growth. • Foster a motivating and professional environment for both trainers and members. 2. Program Development & Training Quality: • Design and implement structured workout programs for members of all fitness levels. • Supervise and enhance personal training sessions to ensure clients achieve their goals. • Ensure adherence to international fitness and safety standards. • Introduce new training techniques and fitness trends to keep programs innovative and engaging. 3. Member Engagement & Retention: • Enhance the customer experience by developing personalized fitness plans. • Conduct fitness assessments and track member progress. • Address member concerns and provide expert fitness advice. • Organize fitness challenges, boot camps, and wellness events to boost engagement and retention. 4. Business & Operations Support: • Lead PT hiring and ensure a strong team of trainers. • Work with management to achieve revenue targets through personal training packages and memberships. • Monitor gym equipment usage and ensure proper maintenance. • Assist in marketing initiatives, such as social media promotions and fitness content creation. • Maintain compliance with gym policies, safety guidelines, and hygiene standards. 5. Performance Monitoring & Reporting: • Track client progress and ensure high trainer success rates. • Analyze key performance metrics, including trainer effectiveness, retention rates, and client satisfaction. • Provide regular reports to management on team performance and business insights. Key Requirements: 1. Qualifications & Certifications: • Certified Fitness Trainer (ACE, NASM, ISSA, NSCA, or equivalent). • CPR/AED and First Aid certification. • Additional specialization (strength training, HIIT, yoga, rehabilitation, etc.) is an advantage. 2. Experience: • Minimum 5+ years of experience in the fitness industry, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. • Strong background in personal training, group fitness, or sports performance coaching. • Proven track record in managing a fitness team, achieving business results, and driving revenue growth. 3. Skills & Competencies: • Strong leadership and team management abilities. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to develop and implement structured fitness programs. • Business acumen and experience in achieving sales/revenue targets. • Passion for fitness and ability to inspire members and trainers.
