The Head of Business Enablement, Group Technology will lead the Software Development, Hyperautomation, AI, Collaboration/Cloud Technologies Center of Excellence (CoE) teams responsible for developing and implementing technology solutions to enable business growth and transformation. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of business needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving innovation, improving efficiency, and ensuring alignment between technology initiatives and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Functional (job responsibilities)
Software Development (Digital Touchpoints & Shared Services) CoEs
1. Software Development Strategy: Develop and implement the software development strategy, aligning it with the organization's overall digital transformation objectives and priorities.
2. Methodology & Best Practices: Establish and enforce standard methodologies, best practices, and tools for software development, ensuring high-quality, efficient, and secure deliverables.
3. Project Management: Oversee project management activities, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, risk management, and issue resolution.
4. Software Design & Architecture: Ensure adherence to sound design principles and architectural patterns, promoting reusability, modularity, and scalability.
5. Code Quality & Testing: Implement and enforce coding standards, testing practices, and code review processes to maintain high code quality and minimize technical debt.
6. DevOps & CI/CD: Implement DevOps practices and establish continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline software delivery and deployment.
7. Knowledge Management: Establish and maintain a knowledge management system for software development, ensuring easy access to information, lessons learned, and best practices.
8. Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Oversee performance monitoring and reporting for software development projects, identifying opportunities for optimization and improvement.
Hyperautomation CoE
1. Hyperautomation Strategy: Develop and implement the RPA strategy, aligning it with the organization's overall digital transformation objectives and priorities.
2. Process Identification & Selection: Lead the identification and selection of processes suitable for automation, working closely with business units to understand their needs and pain points.
3. RPA Development & Implementation: Oversee the development and implementation of RPA solutions, ensuring they are designed, tested, and deployed according to best practices and quality standards.
4. Tool Evaluation & Selection: Evaluate and select RPA tools and platforms based on organizational requirements, cost-effectiveness, and scalability.
5. Integration & Optimization: Ensure seamless integration of RPA solutions with existing systems and processes, optimizing performance and maximizing ROI.
6. Training & Support: Provide training and support to end-users, enabling them to effectively leverage RPA solutions in their day-to-day work.
7. Process Documentation: Establish and maintain comprehensive documentation for automated processes, ensuring transparency, traceability, and ease of maintenance.
8. Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Oversee performance monitoring and reporting for RPA solutions, identifying opportunities for optimization and improvement.

Artificial Intelligence CoE
1. Artificial Intelligence (AI) Strategy: Develop and implement the AI strategy, aligning it with the organization's overall digital transformation objectives and priorities.
2. Use Case Identification: Lead the identification and prioritization of high-impact AI use cases, working closely with business units to understand their needs and potential benefits.
3. Data Preparation & Management: Ensure proper data preparation, management, and governance to support AI model development, testing, and deployment.
4. Model Development & Validation: Oversee the development and validation of AI models, adhering to best practices, ethical guidelines, and quality standards.
5. Integration & Deployment: Ensure seamless integration and deployment of AI solutions within existing systems and processes, optimizing performance and maximizing ROI.
6. Training & Support: Provide training and support to end-users, enabling them to effectively leverage AI solutions in their day-to-day work.
7. Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Oversee performance monitoring and reporting for AI solutions, identifying opportunities for optimization and improvement.
8. Research & Collaboration: Stay connected with the latest AI research, trends, and techniques, fostering collaboration with academic institutions, research organizations, and industry peers.

Collaboration CoE (Cloud Technologies)
1. Cloud Strategy: Develop and implement the cloud strategy, aligning it with the organization's overall digital transformation objectives and priorities.
2. Cloud Adoption: Lead the adoption of cloud technologies, ensuring seamless migration and integration with existing systems and processes.
3. Platform Selection: Evaluate and select cloud platforms based on organizational requirements, cost-effectiveness, and scalability.
4. Solution Design & Development: Oversee the design and development of cloud-based solutions, ensuring they are secure, scalable, and aligned with business needs.
5. Cost Optimization: Implement cost optimization strategies to ensure efficient use of cloud resources and minimize waste.
6. Security & Compliance: Ensure all cloud solutions comply with relevant regulations, standards, and security best practices.
7. Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Oversee performance monitoring and reporting for cloud solutions, identifying opportunities for optimization and improvement.
8. Training & Support: Provide training and support to end-users, enabling them to effectively leverage cloud technologies in their day-to-day work.
Managerial (team/group responsibilities)
1. Hire, train, and manage CoE Team Leads and their members that have the right talent and skillsets, providing coaching, feedback, and career development opportunities.
2. Set performance goals and objectives for team members, and monitor progress against those goals to ensure that they are met.
3. Establish and enforce policies and procedures related to enterprise architecture, software development, hyperautomation, AI, cloud technologies CoEs, ensuring that teams follow best practices and comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.
4. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring that the teams deliver projects on time and within budget.
5. Communicate effectively with senior management, business leaders, and external partners, building trust and credibility through transparency and accountability.
6. Identify and address conflicts or issues within the teams, mediating disputes and finding solutions that meet the needs of all parties.
7. Foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork within the teams, encouraging open communication, knowledge sharing, and mutual support.
8. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in enterprise architecture, software development, hyperautomation, AI, cloud technologies, and share that knowledge with team members to promote continuous learning and improvement.
9. Manage risks and issues related to software development, hyperautomation, AI, cloud technologies, implementing mitigation strategies to minimize the impact on business operations and outcomes.
10. Ensure that team members have the tools, resources, and support they need to be successful in their roles, and remove any barriers or obstacles that may be hindering their performance.
Organizational (organizational responsibilities) including Strategic Cost Management and Financial Goals
1. Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills, with a proven track record of managing diverse stakeholder expectations and maintaining positive working relationships.
2. Participate in cross-functional teams and committees, contributing to the development of technology strategies and initiatives that support business goals and objectives.
3. Build and maintain positive relationships with external vendors and partners, representing the organization in negotiations and contract discussions.
4. Stay up-to-date with regulatory and compliance requirements related to data privacy and security, and ensure that CoE teams comply with those requirements.
5. Promote a culture of innovation and continuous learning throughout the organization, encouraging experimentation and exploration of new technologies and approaches.
6. Contribute to the development of thought leadership content related to enterprise architecture, software development, hyperautomation, AI, cloud technologies, positioning the organization as a leader in the field.
7. Provide input into the development of the technology budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to support business goals and objectives.
8. Participate in the development and implementation of enterprise-wide technology initiatives, ensuring that CoE teams are aligned with those initiatives and contributing to their success.
9. Serve as a mentor and coach to other technology leaders within the organization, sharing knowledge and expertise to promote the success of the technology function as a whole.
Jobholder Requirements
Education/Qualification
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience/Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong technical expertise in software development, hyperautomation, AI, cloud technologies, with experience in Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage high-performing teams, with a track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working collaboratively with business leaders and external partners.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to inform decision-making and drive improvements.
  • Experience managing relationships with external vendors and partners, with a proven ability to negotiate contracts and manage deliverables.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in enterprise architecture, software development, hyperautomation, AI and cloud technologies.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements related to data privacy and security.
