Key Responsibilities:

Legal Document Management:

  • Draft, review, and manage legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and correspondence.
  • Ensure that all legal documents are stored accurately and comply with company policy and legal standards.
  • Maintain and organize legal files, both physical and electronic.
  • Assist in preparing and filing legal documents with relevant government agencies.

Compliance and Regulatory Support:

  • Support the legal & compliance team in ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

Communication:

  • Liaise with external legal advisors, regulatory bodies as needed.
  • Prepare and draft internal communications regarding legal matters.

Administrative Support:

  • Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence for the legal department
  • Provide general administrative support to the legal team as required.
  • Assist with billing, invoicing, and tracking of legal expenses.
  • Provide assistance in handling disputes and claims as required.

Requirements:

Education:

  • A Diploma or Degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field. (Candidates with a law degree will have an advantage.)

Experience:

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in a legal administration or paralegal role.
  • Experience working in a corporate legal department or law firm is preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal research tools.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good understanding of corporate governance and regulatory compliance.

Communication Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Personal Attributes:

  • High level of confidentiality and integrity.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Legal Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of Malaysian legal systems, corporate law, and business regulations.

Certifications (optional):

  • Certification in legal administration or paralegal courses will be a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
