Key Duties / Responsibilities:

a) Perform all check-in and check-out with a smile always.

b) Manage online and phone reservations.

c) Inform guest about payment methods and verify their credit card data.

d) Register guests collecting necessary information (like contact details and exact dates of their stay).

e) To assign rooms for arriving guests. Special attention is to be given to repeat guests with special request.

f) Provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates and amenities.

g) Liaise with our housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy and fully-furnished to accommodate guest’s needs.

h) To inform Housekeeping on early check ins or any late checkouts.

i) Confirm group reservations and arrange personalized services for VIP customers and events attendees, like wedding guests and etc.

j) Upsell additional facilities and services, when appropriate.

k) Maintain updated records of bookings and payments.

l) Ensure that all guests’ requests and queries are handled in a polite, efficient manner and a high level of customer service in consistently maintained.

m) To be aware of the many types of billing and to ensure that all necessary documents are attached to registration card.

n) To be familiar to the measure and the steps to be taken when the systems fails and all back up procedures.

o) Verify assigned room status with the system and ensure that all rooms given to guests upon check in are vacant clean / inspected.

p) Ensure a high level of product knowledge of the hotel and the local area, and know the daily activities in the hotel, such as events, weddings and etc.

q) Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the Front desk counter including the maintenance of the equipment at all times.

r) Ensure all telephone calls at the Front Desk are answered promptly and clearly in a courteous and friendly manner. All guest’s requests must be well-handled.

s) Safeguard the cash float assigned and to be fully accountable for it. Ensure that no shortage of the float is encountered.

t) Ensure that all checked-out guest room keys are all collected and returned accordingly.

u) Ensure to prepare and balance a cash report and remittance envelope at the end of the shift.

v) Report any discrepancies such as skippers and dispute on bills so that action can be taken and no loss is suffered.
