Our client is a fully integrated manufacturer and supplier of highway guardrails, handrails and accessories. Their highway guardrails, handrails and accessories are manufactured strictly conforming to the design usage and application with the latest engineering know how and is certified by SIRIM.
As an affiliated company to have the access to the various facilities and technical support which further enhance the capability to undertake all aspect of project involving highway guardrails, handrails and accessories. The range of facilities include hot dip galvanising services and metal fabrication equipment such as press and forming machines etc.
The highway guardrails, handrails and accessories are produced at the factory in Rawang Industrial Estate.
Responsibilities Summary:
- Fully responsible for the factory operations, including planning, coordinating, and controlling the quality, efficiency, and test of production for highway guardrails, high mast, stadium mast, traffic signs, and others.
Responsibilities & Tasks:
- Ensure product lines are set up efficiently while ensuring quality, cost, and deadline objectives are met.
- Responsible for Production Department operations to achieve company goals.
- Plan, organize, direct, and guide in accordance with achieving organizational goals and objectives.
- Conduct preventive maintenance according to schedule and corrective maintenance to ensure machines are in safe and good condition.
- Revise and highlight standard operating procedures, ensuring adherence at all times.
- Responsible for production line, process improvement, Kaizen projects, and Gemba Kaizen.
- Develop and propose training needs to upgrade employees’ skills and knowledge.
- Ensure workers exposed to hazardous chemicals are trained.
- Maintain a safe working environment with HIRARC and precautionary measures.
- Ensure compliance with local authority regulations such as D.O.E, JKKP, MPS, Bomba, Occupational Safety & Health regulations.
- Exercise discretion regarding company information and safeguard its interests.
- Report, highlight irregularities, problems, and weaknesses, and recommend improvements.
- Participate in “Gotong Royong” (15 minutes of daily plant housekeeping).
- Provide motivation, guidance, and meetings with the production Executive, Supervisor, and line leader to monitor work progress.
Additional Tasks:
- Liaise with suppliers and maintenance department for critical spare parts availability.
- Organize and manage resources, optimizing expenditure.
- Responsible for designing and establishing the street lighting pole production, steel beam costs, and monthly production targets.
- Liaise with related departments for smooth production flow, including productivity, yield loss control, rejects, and delivery lead time.
Requirements:
- Min 5 years experience in Manufacturing environment.
- 3 years experience in Production Management role.
- Experience in QA/QC, maintenance, and warehouse department is considered.
- Strong knowledge in Production Management, Quality standard, lean manufacturing principles, and Inventory Management.
- Proven experience in managing production team and optimizing manufacturing process.
- Strong team management skills, with ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and environmental compliance in manufacturing.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, decision-making, and result-driven approach.
- Exceptional communication, change management, organizational development, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong teamwork skills, hands-on, initiative-driven, and positive attitude toward complaints.
- Min current position as production supervisor/executive.
