
Finance and Accounting Manager
- Financial Management & Reporting:
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Develop and manage the company’s annual budget.
- Monitor financial performance and variances against budgets.
- Provide recommendations for cost optimization.
Accounting Operations:
- Supervise day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger.
- Ensure proper financial controls and reconciliation processes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Taxation & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including corporate tax, SST/GST, and withholding tax.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants.
- Ensure adherence to local and international financial regulations.
Cash Flow & Treasury Management:
- Monitor cash flow and liquidity to ensure financial stability.
- Manage banking relationships and optimize treasury functions.
- Develop strategies to improve cash flow efficiency.
Internal Controls & Risk Management:
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team.
- Provide training and guidance to enhance team performance.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement in financial processes.
Strategic Planning:
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement financial strategies.
- Support business growth initiatives through financial planning and analysis.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives.
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in financial software and systems (e.g., Sage, SAP).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; ability to speak Mandarin is an advantage.
