Education: A Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), Environmental Health, Engineering, or a related field. Yellow Book Certification (Sijil Kecekapan Pengurus Keselamatan) from DOSH. Experience: At least 2-3 years of work experience in a safety officer role or a related position in industries such as construction, manufacturing, or oil & gas. Previous experience with safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations. Certifications: NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) or equivalent certifications are an advantage. Other certifications in safety, first aid, and emergency response are desirable. Skills: Strong understanding of local and international safety regulations and industry standards. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for conducting training and preparing reports. Strong leadership skills to manage and motivate teams and employees regarding safety protocols. Proficient in Microsoft Office and other safety management software or systems. Personal Attributes: Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and address safety issues before they become critical.
