Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the creation and development of beverage menus, taking into account market trends, customer preferences, and profitability.
- Responsible for developing strategic plans and objectives for the beverage department within the F&B industry. This includes setting targets, defining key performance indicators, and implementing strategies to achieve business goals.
- Establish and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for beverage preparation, ensuring adherence to hygiene and safety regulations.
- Monitoring and managing the beverage department's budget which includes controlling costs, optimizing profitability, and analysing financial reports to make informed decisions and recommendations.
- Leading the research and development of new beverage concepts and products is a key responsibility. This involves formulating recipes, conducting sensory evaluations, and overseeing product testing and refinement to ensure quality and marketability.
- Collaborating with suppliers and conducting evaluations of potential ingredients for quality, taste, and suitability.
- Continuously evaluating and improving beverage production processes.
- Implementing rigorous quality control measures to ensure the consistency, safety, and compliance of beverage products with regulatory standards.
- Providing training and educational resources to staff members involved in beverage preparation, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge and skills to deliver consistent quality and uphold brand standards.
- Creating an exceptional customer experience by delivering high-quality beverages, ensuring prompt service, addressing customer feedback and involved in organizing special events or promotions related to beverages.
Requirement:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Food Science, or a related field is often preferred.
- Extensive experience (typically 5+ years) in the F&B industry, with a focus on beverage management, is usually required.
- Experience in research and development (R&D) of beverage products is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of various beverage categories.
- Familiarity with industry trends, emerging concepts, and consumer preferences in the beverage sector to drive business growth.
- Effective communication skills to interact with members at all levels.
- Knowledge of sourcing practices, quality assurance, and sustainability considerations in the F&B industry.
- Strong focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences through high-quality beverages, personalized service, and attention to detail.
- Creatively and innovate in developing new beverage concepts, Flavors, and presentations is highly valued.
