Restaurant Operations Management:
- Establish operational Key Result Areas (KRAs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), goals, and expectations for regional stores to align with the company’s strategy and direction.
- Monitor sales, profitability, and KPIs to ensure overall performance meets targets.
- Work closely with area managers and the management office on Restaurant operations, staffing, and merchandising, while providing improvement solutions.
- Proactively identify and address issues arising from Restaurant operations, troubleshoot operational challenges, take appropriate remedial actions, and provide solutions to drive continuous improvement. Report unresolved matters to respective departments/parties when necessary.
- Enforce consistent operational standards, covering policies, promotions, pricing, inventory management, and food safety regulations.
- Conduct regular Restaurant visits, audits, and inspections to ensure SOPs are maintained and compliance with company policies, industry regulations, health and safety, labor, and other relevant requirements.
- Attend company management meetings, consolidate meeting reports and agendas, and provide recommendations to top management for growing market share.
- Lead teams and stores to relentlessly focus on customers' needs, providing a leading shopping and consumer experience.
- Execute any ad-hoc tasks assigned by the management or the company.
Cost Control & Financial Management:
- Develop, plan, and oversee budgets for each regional Restaurant.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, Operation and other relevant departments to support cross-functional initiatives and oversee operational budgets.
- Monitor and control operational costs, identifying opportunities for cost optimization while maintaining service quality.
- Develop and implement measures to reduce wastage and shrinkage, ensuring efficient resource use and maximizing profitability.
Teamwork, Development & Leadership:
- Act as a liaison between management and regional Restaurant, ensuring effective communication on company objectives and changes.
- Collaborate with area managers to manage and cultivate potential talent within the teams.
- Establish and maintain a positive teamwork environment through coaching, development, evaluation, and consultation with associates.
- Oversee the performance review process for direct reports at the store level, collaborating to provide feedback and guidelines.
- Address disciplinary matters with associates in a fair and tactful manner.
- Collaborate with other operations managers, management and Heads of Departments (HOD) to support cross-functional initiatives and drive business growth.
Requirements:
- Preferably an area/district manager with expertise in F&B Chain Store Retail, and Franchising.
- Strong understanding of retail operations, with extensive experience overseeing multiple restaurants, managing high-volume retail operations, and successfully navigating large-scale business demands.
- Demonstrated proficiency in developing and executing strategic plans that foster business growth.
- Strong networking skills, enabling the establishment and maintenance of positive relationships with industry stakeholders.
- Ability to leverage data analytics for informed decision-making, think strategically, and contribute to the development and implementation of regional plans aligned with overall company objectives.
- Proven adaptability in a dynamic retail environment, effectively handling change, and implementing innovative solutions to improve store performance.
- Proficient in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Zeoniq System, and preferably Learning Management System.
- Willingness to travel and work on weekends is essential for applicants.
