MAIN FUNCTION

The basic function and purpose of the Retail Operations Manager's job is to plan, organize, control, and coordinate the activities of the operating function department of the retail section to the end that sales are according to estimates and to run the operational department as an efficient and profitable enterprise.

He or she is responsible for initiating and implementing all aspects of the advertising and promotions Plan. To initiate, monitor, coordinate and execute these plans effectively in line with the company’s marketing objectives and strategies.

RESPONSIBLE FOR

- Retail of Central Region

- Entailing the following functions:

1) Planning of progress of sales organization

2) Salesforce management - recruitment, training & development

3) Planning of the department budget

4) Co-ordination with other units of the organization

5) To carry out any other job/assignment that may be assigned by the company to you from time to time.

MAJOR TASKS

1) To ensure efficient management supervision and control of all activities in the Retail dept. Standard of performance is met if 100% Test is achieved in volume, turnover and results.

2) To ensure that products are marketed at reasonable prices and that the prices are such as would leave a sufficient margin of profit for the company and assure consumer satisfaction. The standard of performances are met 100% Test is achieved according to estimated results.

3) To provide a constant flow of communication at all levels about the Sales Policy of the company. Standard of performances are met when the sales in the office are thoroughly familiar with the company’s objectives and goals and work towards their achievement.

4) To keep abreast of all new developments in sales techniques and methods and to pursue a policy of steadily improving the standard of salesmanship and service to customers. The standard of performance is met if all sales personnel are aware of the latest techniques and developments in marketing.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS OR EXPERTISE

- Motivated self-starter, with the ability to work both independently as well as collaboratively with a team-player’s mindset.

- Ability to work resourcefully.

- Excellent project management skills with the ability to multi-task.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Proficiency in analysing and synthesizing data.

- Proficiency in MS PowerPoint and Excel skills.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

- Degree holder in any related field.

- Experience in retail, especially in footwear, fashion, home living, and pharmaceutical chain

- Proficiency in business English - written and oral

- Willing to travel

Pay: RM9,000.00 - RM12,000.00 per month
