Job Purpose
- Sustainability Management System development and implementation management.
- SUSDEX Assessment – annual assessment management.
- Vendor Engagement Program specific to carbon foot printing and reduction – key contribution to delivering Group Embodied Carbon Reduction Roadmap for Group.
- Contribute to company Sustainability/ESG Training and Capacity Building in collaboration with Human Resources.
- Department Lead for ‘Product Sustainability Standardisation Program’ in collaboration with Development Services.
- Manage annual non-financial sustainability metrics assurance/audit processes for Annual Report process.
Job Responsibilities
Financial
- Plan, preparation and adherence to budget (AOP) to facilitate efficient deployment of initiatives. Strictly follow company SOPs in relation to vendor sourcing/contracting.
Operational
- Develop and roll-out company’s sustainability management system.
- Provide advisory and technical advice to SDP staff on the implementation of management system towards achieving the company’s sustainability strategy, and 2030 Sustainability Goals.
- Lead in preparation of content for yearly Safety & Sustainability Playbook and guide SDP staff on actual on-site implementation.
- Lead and/or coordinate ESG/Sustainability training courses.
- Continuously review and execute improvements to SMS processes and tools, e.g., SUSDEX, tracking tools. Contribute to and provide input to Corporate Communications Department to enhance sustainability communications.
- Research, collate and share information on best practices and innovation related to sustainability.
- Support ad-hoc project work as may be required by HOD or Head Corporate Sustainability or other function as may be directed from time-to-time.
- Identify related sustainability performance award for the Group to participate in and coordinate submissions (as may be required).
- Project manage applicable internal reward & recognition events.
- Engage with external stakeholders (i.e., NGOs, institutional investor groups etc) as required under direction of supervisor to provide ESG-related information, collaboration development and/or to support other function in the Group as may be required.
- To be a focal point for internal collaboration with; Development Services, Cost & Control Department, M&S and operational Group teams.
People Development
- Attend training for self-development in sustainability related work. Close gaps in technical and leadership competencies.
- Mentor and train Group staff in sustainability.
- Lead for induction program organized by HR Department.
Education/Professional Qualification
Minimum qualification:
- Bachelor Sc. (Hons.) Mathematics, Sciences or Environmental Sciences or Statistics.
Professional Experience
- Minimum 7 years relevant experience
- MyCREST Certified Practitioner (added benefit)
- Certified Train the Trainer and/or (added benefit)
- Certified Sustainability Practitioner (added benefit)
