Job Overview:

The Assistant Manager, Accounts is responsible for supporting the management of client accounts, ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, and providing guidance to junior team members. Job Description:

  • Account Management:
  • Oversee the day-to-day management of client accounts, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Review and analyze financial statements, reports, and records to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, addressing their needs and inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Financial Reporting:
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for clients.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards, regulations, and laws.
  • Assist with tax filings and ensure all necessary documentation is submitted on time.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, helping to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Review the work of junior accountants to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assist in the training and development of new staff members.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Assist clients in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing strategic financial advice.
  • Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and revenue growth strategies.
  • Audit and Compliance:
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Ensure all internal controls are in place and followed to meet organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Client Advisory Services:
  • Provide financial advice to clients based on industry trends, business performance, and financial goals.
  • Help clients optimize their financial strategies, including tax planning and risk management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • ACCA or other relevant professional certifications preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
